About the Bible
The Bible is the infallible Word of God. It is the authority for salvation and Christian living. It was written by holy men of old as moved on by the Holy Spirit. Since it is supernaturally inspired, it is inerrant in the original manuscripts and has been preserved by God through history, so that it is the divinely authoritative standard for every age and life.
2 Timothy 3:16-17
About God
There is one God, the Creator of heaven and earth, and of all living beings. He has revealed Himself to humanity as the Father (Creator), as the Son (Savior), and as the Holy Ghost (indwelling Spirit). Jesus Christ was both God and man. God was in Christ reconciling the world unto Himself. God was One in creation, being the father of all; One in redemption, taking on human flesh, being the son or only flesh God will ever have; and God has sent His spirit, the Holy Spirit to be the comforter until He returns.
Deuteronomy 6:4
Ephesians 4:4-6
Colossians 2:9
I Timothy 3:16
About Sin and Salvation
Everyone has sinned and needs salvation. Salvation comes by grace through faith based on the atoning sacrifice of Jesus Christ.
Romans 3:23-25
Romans 6:23
Ephesians 2:8-9
The saving gospel is the good news that Jesus died for our sins, was buried, and rose again. We obey the gospel by repentance (death to sin), water baptism in the name of Jesus Christ (burial), and receiving the gift of the Holy Spirit (resurrection).
I Corinthians 15:1-4
Acts 2:4, 37-39
Romans 6:3-4
We specifically believe and teach the New Testament plan of salvation:
Repentance – The Bible tells us that repentance occurs when we verbally confess and consciously forsake our sins. Our sins are then forgiven. However, the record of our sins still exists and needs to be remitted.
I John 1:9
Luke 13:3
Acts 2:38
Acts 3:19
Acts 26:20
Baptism in Jesus’ Name – The Bible teaches that baptism occurs when a person is completely submerged (immersed) in water with the name of Jesus invoked over them. The record of our sins is then remitted.
Mark 16:16
Acts 2:38
Acts 22:16
Romans 6:1-5
Receiving the Gift of the Holy Spirit – The sign that the Holy Spirit, (which is God), now resides in our heart is when we speak in other tongues. This experience (gift) is for everyone and gives us the power to overcome sin!
John 3:5
Acts 2:1-4
Acts 2:38-39
About Christian Living
Every Christian has the responsibility to grow with spiritual maturity. The Bible is our guideline for determining what this means. As Christians we are to love God and others. We should live a holy life inwardly and outwardly, and worship God joyfully. The supernatural gifts of the Spirit, including healing, are for the church today.
Mark 12:28-31
II Corinthians 7:1
Hebrews 12:14
I Corinthians 12:8-10
About the Future
Jesus Christ is coming again to catch away His church. In the end will be the final resurrection and the final judgment. The righteous will inherit eternal life, and the unrighteous eternal death.
I Thessalonians 4:16-17
Revelation 20:11-15
